Preparing your lawnmower for use
• Your lawnmower is supplied with the upper handle folded
over the machine for packing and transportation.
Handle in Operating Position
1. Lift handle as illustrated in figure A.
• Do not drop the handle.
• Make sure that the cable does not become trapped
between the handles
Grassbox handle
Attach the grassbox handle as illustrated in figure B
Ensure that the handle has ‘clicked’ into the three secure
points, as illustrated in figure C.

Starting and Stopping
To Start your Lawnmower
1. Form loop in mains cable and push the loop through
the slot. (D)
2. To secure, position loop over the hook and pull the
cable back through the slot (E).
3. Connect plug to mains and switch on.
4. Tilt the handle downwards to slightly raise the front of
the lawnmower and to reduce the risk of lawn damage
whilst starting.
The switchbox is provided with a lock-off button (F1) to
prevent accidental starting.
5. Press and hold the lock-off button (F) on the switch-
box, then squeeze one of the Start/Stop levers towards
the upper handle (G).
6. Continue to squeeze the start/stop lever towards the
upper handle and release the lock-off button (H).
7. Lower the lawnmower to its proper operating position
and commence mowing.
• NOTE - There are two start/stop levers fitted. Either
one can be used for starting the lawnmower.
• IMPORTANT - Do not use the start/stop levers intermittently
To Stop your Lawnmower
1. Release the pressure on the Start/Stop lever.

1. Ensure that the handle is in the correct position for mowing.
• DO NOT push
as illustrated in Fig J1
• Push the spring assisted handles down for a better
hover performance as illustrated in Fig J2
