PRACTICAL HINTS
• Ensure you have a good earth. This is vital for success.
• Check indicator lights.
• Check fence for shorts. Remove fallen branches, weeds, long grass etc.
• Train stock to respect the fence in a small enclosure.
• For animals that jump, try diff erent fence heights.
• Use top quality insulators. Low quality insulators, cracked insulators and plas c
tubing are not eff ec ve.
• Use Joint Clamps (G603) on all steel wire con nec ons to ensure a high quality
circuit.
• Use double insulated cable (G609) in buildings, under gate ways and where soil
could corrode galvanised wire.
• Never use household electrical cable. It is made for a max i mum of 600 volts
and will leak electricity.
• On permanent Power Fencing, use high tensile 12.5 gauge wire. On portable
fences, Polywire, Polytape or light gauge wire may be used.
• Recharge ba ery before and a er use.
How the energizer works
• It sends electrical pulses along the fence.
• These pulses give the animal a short, sharp shock.
• The shock is safe to both animals and people.

Solar Options
The built-in two-stage solar regulator guarantees op mum ba ery management and
maximum ba ery life and allows direct connec on of a correctly sized solar panel.
However if a solar panel with a built-in regulator is used, it should be connected
directly to the ba ery. Contact your local Gallagher dealer for details.
Security Options
You can secure the energizer with a Security Kit (G570), providing excep onal
defence against the by locking the energizer to the ground. Contact your local
Gallagher dealer for details.
