How to Insert the Batteries
[] Remove the batte*y cover by sliding it
according to the an'ow direction.
[]Insert new batteries making sure that the (+)
and (-) of battely are installed co*_'ectty,
[] Reattach the cover by sliding it back
into position.
NOTES:
_ Use 2 "AAA" (1.5 w)lt) batteries, Do not use
rechalgeable batteries.
_ Remove the batteries from the remote control if
the system is not going to be used for a long time.
Grille and Case
Tmqa the air conditioner off and remove the
plug from the wall outlet before cleaning.
To clean, use water and a mild detergent.
Do not use bleach oi" abrasives.
OutdoorCoils
_lhe coils on the outdoor side of the air conditioner
should be checked rega*larly. If they are clogged
with dirt or soot flaey may- be professionally steam
cleaned, a service available through your GE
sel_ice outlet.

AirFilter
The air filter behind the front _ille should be
checked and cleaned at least every 30 (lays o1"more
often if necessaly.
Clean 1he filter with walrn, _)apy water. Rinse and
let the filter dry before replacing it,
CAUTION:DONOToperatetheairconditionerwithout
a filterbecausedirtandlintwill clogit andreduce
performance.
TOremove(onsomemodels):
]()pen the inlet grille upward by pulling out the
bottom of the inlet grille.
[] Using the rob, pull up slightly-on the filter to
release it and pull it down,
