How to Delay the Start of Cleaning _on
Youcanset the oven control to delay-start the
oven, clean for a specificlength of time and then
turn off automatically.
Hake surethe clock shows the correct time of
day.
Followthe directions in the Before a CleanCycle
section.
[] Latch the door.
NOTE:Never force the latch. If the oven is too
hot,you will not be able to slide the latch. Allow
the oven to cool.
[_ Touch the Self Clean pad.
[] Touch the + or - padsto setthe Clean
Time.
TheCleanTime ispreset for 4 hours and 20
minutes. Youcan change the Clean Time to any
time between 3 and 5 hours,depending on the
amount of soil in your oven. Ifa different Clean
Time isdesired,touch the + or - pads until the
desired CleanTime is displayed.

ChangetheStartTimebytouchingthe+ or-
pods.Thestarttimewillappearinthedisplay.
[] TouchtheStart/Onpad.
The self-cleancyclewillautomaticallybeginat
thetimeset.
While the oven is self-cleaning,you can touch
the Clock pad to display the time of day.To
return to the clean countdown, touch the Self
Clean pad.
The oven shutsoff automatically when the
clean cycle iscomplete, and 0:00 will flash in
the display.
[] Slidethe latch handle to the left as far as it
will go and open the door.
To Stop a Clean Cycle (on some models)
Touch the Clear/Offpad.
Wait until the oven has cooled below the
locking temperature to unlatch the door. You
will not be able to open the door right away
unlessthe oven has cooled below the locking
temperature.
After a Clean Cycle Ion some models)
Youcannot set the oven for cooking until
the oven iscool enough for the door to be
unlatched.
Youmay notice some white ash in the oven.
Wipe it up with a damp cloth after the oven
cools.
If white spotsremain, remove them with a
soap-filledscouring pad and rinse thoroughly
with a vinegarand water mixture.
Thesedepositsare usually a salt residue
that cannot be removed by the clean cycle.
If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,
repeat the cycle.
Youcannot set the oven for cooking
until the oven is cool enough for the door
to unlock.
Whilethe ovenisself-cleaning,you can
touch the Clock padto displaythe time
of day.Toreturnto the cleancountdown,
touch the Cooking Timepad.
If the racks become hard to slide,apply
a small amount of vegetable oil or cooking oil
to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven racks with the paper towel.
