Burner Grates
Lift out when cool. Grates should be washed
regularly and, of course,after spillovers.Wash
them in hot, soupy water and rinse with cleon
water. When replacing the grates, be sure they
ore positioned securely over the burners.
On models with professional-style double
grates,the grates ore position-specific. For
maximum stability, these grates should only
be usedin their proper position;they cannot
be interchanged left to right or front to buck.
Forconvenience, the undersides of the left and
right grates ore marked "LEFTFRONT"and
"RIGHTFRONT."
Do not operate u burner for on extended period
of time without cookwore on the grate. The
finish on the grote may chip without cookwure
to absorb the heat.
Toget rid of burned-on food, placethe grates in
a covered container. Add 1/4 cup ammonia and
let them soak several hours or overnight. Wash,
rinsewell and dry.
Although they are durable, the grates will
gradually lose their shine, regardlessof the
best care you can give them. This is due to their
continual exposure to high temperatures. You
will notice this sooner with lighter color grates.
