Icemakingwillcontinueuntilthe
feelerarm sensesa sufficient
accumulationofice cubesin the
storagebin and haltsthe operation
temporarily.Formaximumice
storage,levelthe storedcubeswith
yourhand occasionally.Be sure
nothinginterfereswiththe swingof
the feeler arm.
Theicemakerejectscubesin
groupsofeightanditisnormalfor
severalcubestobejoinedtogether.
Once youricemakerisin
operation,throwawaythefirst
fewbatchesof icecubes.
Thiswill
flushawayanyimpuritiesinthe
waterline.Dothesamethingafter
vacationsorextendedperiodswhen
iceisn’tused.
caution:
Undercertainrare
circumstances,icecubesmay
bediscolored,usud.lyappearing
withagreen-bluishhue.The
causeofthisunusualdiscoloration
isapparendyduetoacombination
offactorssuchascertain
characteristicsoflocalwaters,
householdplumbingandthe
accumulationofcoppersaltsin
aninactivewatersupplyline
whichfeedstheicemaker.
Continuedconsumptionofsuch
discoloredicecubesmaybe
injurioustohealth.If such
discolorationisobserved,
discardtheicecubesand
contactyourGEFactory
ServiceCenteror anauthorized
CustomerCare@servicer.
Icecubemoldwillautomatically
fiHwithwateraftercoolingto
freezingtemperature,andfirst
cubeswillnormallyfreezeafter
severalhours.Whencubesare
solidlyfrozen,theywiHbeejected
fromthemoldintothe icestorage
binbymeansofa sweeperarm.
