case for heat-sinking. The front panel keypad provides the user interface with 4 buttons (JBA
& JBN) or 7 buttons (SAP).
The unit contains microprocessor control firmware which is factory fitted. The firmware
version is shown on the front panel display for 2 seconds when the unit is switched on.
Firmware is only factory upgradable. If an upgrade is required then the unit can be returned
to Grant Instruments or the Control PCB assembly replaced with one containing the upgraded
firmware.
In the event of a failure, component assemblies can be replaced by Grant Instruments or
authorised service centres and distributors.
