9. Add 15W-50 synthetic motor oil (Gravely
p/n 00057100) or equivalent. Do not
overfill.
Change Hydraulic Fluid and Filter
NOTICE: Change hydraulic fluid and filter
after the first 75 hours of operation and then
every 400 hours. Use 15W-50 synthetic
motor oil (Gravely p/n 00057100) or
equivalent.
NOTICE: When changing the oil, only about
1.4 liters (1.5 quarts) will drain. The rest of the
oil will remain in the pumps and motors.
1. Clean around dipstick cap and dipstick.
Remove dipstick.
2. Place container under oil filter to catch oil.
3. Remove oil filter.
4. Allow tank to drain.
5. Lubricate rubber gasket on new oil filter
with clean hydraulic oil.
6. Spin new oil filter onto filter housing until it
makes contact. Tighten oil filter another
1/2 turn.
7. Add new oil to the oil tank 1.4 liters (about
1.5 quarts). Use 15W-50 synthetic motor
oil (Gravely p/n 00057100) or equivalent.
8. Check hydraulic oil level mark on
cap/dipstick.
9. Properly dispose of waste oil.
CHECK MOWER BELTS
Check belts for wear and replace as needed.
Remove PTO Belt
See Figure 21.
1. Lower the mower.
2. Place seat in most rearward position.
3. Remove belt covers.
4. Place foot board in open position. See
Figure 20.
5. Slowly release the tension on the PTO
belt idler until all the tension is removed
from the springs.
6. Remove PTO belt from deck.
7. Arrange new PTO belt on deck sheaves,
and then slowly tension the idler springs.
8. Replace belt covers and return foot board
to closed position.
CAUTION: Keep body parts
away from idler when releasing
idler spring tension.
