MAINTENANCE
REPLACING THE SPOOL (Fig.10 and 11)
WARNING
Switch off and disconnect from the mains supply before
replacing, adjusting or cleaning your trimmer.
Press in both spool cover lock buttons (18), then
remove the spool cover.
Replace the spool and feed the nylon lines through the
eyelets (20).
Put the spool cover into position and push in until the
spool cover lock buttons clicked into the designated cut
outs and the spool is secured in place.
CLEANING THE LINE TRIMMER
Regular cleaning and maintenance of your grass
trimmer will ensure efficiency and prolong the life of
the unit.
After each cutting operation, remove the grass and soil
from the spool, the whole trimmer and the safety guard.
During operation, keep the air slots clean and free of
grass.
STORING THE LINE TRIMMER
Carry out general cleaning of the entire grass trimmer
and its parts to avoid the growing of mould.
Store it out of the reach of children, in safe and in a
dry place where the temperature is between 10 to 20
degrees Celsius.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Line will not advance when you
restart the machine.
1. Line is welded to itself. 1. Lubricate with a silicone spray.
2. Not enough line on spool.
2. Install more line (Refer to “Replacing
the Cutting Line” earlier in this manual).
3. Line is worn too short.
3. Pull lines while pressing release
button (17).
4. Line is tangled on spool.
4. Remove line from spool and rewind
(Refer to “Replacing the Cutting Line”
earlier in this manual).
Cutting head is hard to turn.
Grass wrapped or built up around
head.
Clean affected parts of the machine.
Grass wraps around the out put shaft
and the trimmer head assembly.
Cutting tall grass at ground level. Cut tall grass from the top down.
Line trimmer stops and will
not start again.
