UNPACKING AND SET UP
Rem ove an y descri ptive label s or sticke rs on the fron t or top of the cab ine t. Do
not rem ove any lab el s or st icke rs from the ba ck or bottom of the cab inet.

Place you r cl ock rad io on a leve l surf ace suc h as a tab le, de sk or she lf, con ven ien t
to an AC ou tlet , ou t of di rect sun ligh t , and away from sou rces of exc ess heat ,
dirt, dust , moisture, humidi ty, or vibrat ion.
Unw ind the AC power cord of the radio an d extend it to its ful l length. The FM
anten na is bu ilt-in to thi s cord. It must be fully extend ed to provi de the best FM
rece pt ion.

int er rupt ed, the Sur e Alar m bat ter y back up system takes over to maintai n the time
and alar m set tings. To maxi mize the life of the back up bat tery, keep the radi o
conn ect ed to a 'live' AC out let at all times.
Thi s uni t has a pol ar ized AC pl ug with one wide bl ade and one nar row blade. Thi s
plug will onl y fit int o a matchi ng pol ar ized AC out let. Thi s is a saf et y feat ure to reduc e
the poss ibility of elect ric shoc k. If this plug will not fit in your AC out let, you pr obabl y
have an out dat ed non- pol ar ized out let . You shou ld have your out -dat ed chan ged by a
