1 Introduction
Dear Customer,
we congratulate you for your wise decision to buy a quality product manufactured by
Hettich Franke GmbH & Co. KG. In order to ensure that all safety information is observed
and that you are able to use all options provided by the Mosys drive unit to your full
advantage, please read this manual thoroughly before installing and starting up the product.
This product was made with the aid of state-of-the-art manufacturing methods and the
application of comprehensive quality assurance measures. The Hettich Franke company
works continuously on the further development of its products. We reserve the right to
perform changes to the scope of supply, which may deviate from this manual with regard
to shape, technology and accoutrements. Therefore, no claims can be made concerning
possible deviating specifications and images contained in this manual. Furthermore,
we accept no obligation to perform changes to devices that have already been supplied.
Non-observance of this instruction manual can lead to a loss of the warranty claim.
Disclaimer
The system is only allowed to be used in beds, slatted bed frames and/or box spring beds
for the purpose of raising and lowering the back and foot sections (“Appropriate use”).
The system is not approved for use
in healthcare areas and facilities (e.g. hospital, rest home, nursing home etc.)
as a lifting device for heavy loads etc.

In cases of non-compliance, Hettich Franke will accept no liability whatsoever. If an inter-
vention is performed on the system by a person or persons not authorised to do so by
Hettich Franke, all warranty and liability claims concerning the complete drive unit will also
be terminated. This also applies to cases of incorrect use, incorrect treatment and incorrect
operation, or if any other damages should exist for which Hettich Franke has no responsibility.
