Prevent Fires
Check for Oil Leaks:
y Fuel, hydraulic oil and lubricant leaks can lead to fires.
x Check for oil leaks due to missing or loose clamps, kinked
hoses, lines or hoses that rub against each other, damage
to the oil-cooler, and loose oil-cooler flange bolts.
x Tighten, repair or replace any missing, loose or damaged
clamps, lines, hoses, oil-cooler and oil-cooler flange bolts.
x Do not bend or strike high-pressure lines.
x Never install bent or damaged lines, pipes, or hoses.
x Replace fuel hoses and hydraulic hoses periodically even
if there is no abnormality in their external appearance.
Check for Shorts:
y Short circuits can cause fires.
x Clean and tighten all electrical connections.
x Check before each shift or after eight (8) to ten (10) hours
operation for loose, kinked, hardened or frayed electrical
cables and wires.
x Check before each shift or after eight (8) to ten (10) hours
operation for missing or damaged terminal caps.
x DO NOT OPERATE MACHINE if cable or wires are loose,
kinked, etc.
x Never attempt to modify electric wirings.
