REAR SUSPENSION
Check the rear suspension periodically by
careful visual examination. Note the
following items.
1. Swingarm bearings should be checked by
pushing hard against the side of the rear
wheel. Free play indicates worn bearings.
2. Check all suspension component
attaching points for security of their
respective fasteners.
3. Check for oil leaks in the shock absorber
units.
(1) Swingarm grease fitting
NOTE:
1. If any of the before mentioned
components appear damaged or worn,
consult your Honda dealer for further
inspection.
Lubrication:
There are grease fittings at the swingarm pivot
(1) and suspension linkage pivots (2). The
swingarm pivot and linkage should be
lubricated at the specified intervals with
lithium based multipurpose grease with
molybdenum disulfide additive.
