IF-LON2
PRODUCT DATA AND MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
The Honeywell IF-LON2 LONWORKS® Interface can be used
to connect Honeywell controllers (via their USB port) with
L
ONWORKS ® networks.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
All wiring must comply with local electrical codes and
ordinances or as specified on installation wiring diagrams.
IF-LON2 network wiring can be sized from 1.5 to 0.34 mm
2
,
depending on the application. The maximum length of wire
from the Honeywell controller to the IF-LON2 is 0.5 m.
CAUTION
EMI Noise Introduction. Risk of erratic system
operation.
Keep wiring at least 300 mm away from large induc-
tive loads such as motors, line starters, lighting
ballasts and large power distribution panels. During
installations, try to avoid areas of high EMI noise.
Run IF-LON2 wiring separately from 50 Vac or greater
power wiring.
WARNING / CAUTION
Risk of electric shock or equipment damage!
► Disconnect the power supply before making connections
to or removing connections from the IF-LON2’s terminals.
► Do not reconnect the power supply until you have com-
pleted the installation.
► Observe precautions for handling electrostatic sensitive
devices.
INSTALLATION
The delivery comes complete with the following parts:

Interface;
USB cable (0.5 meter long);
These Product Data and Mounting Instructions (MU1B-
0545GE51).
Software Installation
Beginning with controller firmware version 4.01.00, the
necessary driver software is already installed on the
Honeywell controller.
You can test the proper functioning of the IF-LON2 with your
PC. To do so, proceed as follows:
Download and install OPENLDV 5.00.
Connect the IF-LON2 to your PC's USB port.
Go to "Control Panel" and open "LonWorks interfaces."
RESULT: The IF-LON2 will be displayed as "U60 Network
Interface."
Click on "Wink" and then on "Test." RESULT: "Network
Interface Node Status" will be displayed.
