Troubleshooting
hints
The
following
items
are
general
troubleshooting
techniques
that
are
useful
when
troubleshooting
the
Power
Meter.

Check

SERVICE
Check
all
ribbon
cables,
wires,
and
coaxial
cables
to
ensure
a
tight
connection.
Any
cables
that
look
worn
or
frayed
should
be
checked
for
repeatable
continuity.
If
continuity
is
not
repeatable,
the
cable
should
be
replaced.
A
wrench
should
always
be
used
when
tightening
or
loosening
coaxial
connectors,
Any
connectors
that
are
disconnected
should
be
inspected
for
damage.
Test
equipment
and
personnel
should
be
grounded
to
avoid
static-induced
failures.
Observe
all
electrostatic
discharge
(ESD)
precautions.
Cover
Removal
Remove
the
four
rear
panel
standoffs.
&
Remove
the
four
feet
on
the
bottom
cover.
Remove
the
four
screws
from
the
bottom
cover.
Carefully
separate
the
top
and
bottom
covers.
Connect
the
negative
lead
of
the
DVM
to
J3
pin
8
(DGND)
on
the
digital
board.
Measure
the
voltage
at
J3
pin
7.
The
voltage
should
read
+5.0V,
+.25V.

Measure
the
voltage
at
J3
pin
6.
The
voltage
should
read
-15.0V,
#.5V.
Record
the
voltage
here.

-/5.902V
Measure
the
voltage
at
J3
pin
5.
The
voltage
should
read
+15.0V,
+.5V.
Record
the
voltage
here.
