Altiris Deployment Solution
Thank you for purchasing an HP Compaq t5000 thin client. With your thin client hardware
purchase, you are entitled to a complimentary, current release of Altiris Deployment
Solution, a leading-edge tool to assist you with quick deployment and on-going
management of thin clients in your organization. Altiris Deployment Solution provides the
capability of deploying new images provided by HP or created by you, updating drivers,
and patch management. For more information on Altiris Deployment Solution, see
www.altiris.com/products/deploymentsol.
To begin managing the thin client, you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Register the software at the Altiris registration Web site at
http://www.altiris.com/hptc. Links to the software, product documentation, and
online training on how to use Altiris Deployment Server with the thin client are
provided when you register on the Altiris Web site.
2. Download the Deployment Solution console.
3. Follow the instructions in the Deployment Solution Product Guide from Altiris to
install and configure the Deployment Solution on a server. See
www.altiris.com/support/documentation/.

describes proper workstation setup, posture, and health and work habits for
computer users, and provides important electrical and mechanical safety
information. This guide is located on the Web at www.hp.com/ergo and on
the Thin Client Documentation CD that is included with the product.
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment:
Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding
plug is an important safety feature.
Plug the power cord in a grounded (earthed) outlet that is easily
accessible at all times.
Disconnect power from the thin client by unplugging the power
cord from the electrical outlet.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. For more
information, refer to the documentation provided with your product.
Perchlorate Material – special handling may apply.
This computer’s real-time clock battery may contain perchlorate and may
require special handling when recycled or disposed in California.
