stands.
10. Lower the mower.
11. Re-attach the negative battery cable.
Seat Adjustment
The seat on these mowers can be adjusted forward and
rearward by pivoting the seat platform up and forward. Then,
loosen the four cap screws on the underneath side of the
seat platform. Position the seat where you have the best
control of the machine and are the most comfortable and
then tighten the cap screws. Torque cap screws to 7 ft-lbs
(9.5 N•m). Figure 4-10
Steering Control Lever Adjustment
The steering control levers can be adjusted for operator
comfort.
A. To pivot the upper control levers forward or rearward,
loosen the cap screws that attach the upper control
lever to the lower lever. Then, pivot the upper control
lever. Tighten the cap screws. Figure 4-11
B. To lower and raise the control levers, remove the cap
screws. Slide the upper control lever up or down and
align the holes in it with the holes in the lower lever.
Re-install the cap screws and tighten.
The steering control levers should be adjusted so that they
align with each other when in the neutral position.
Never attempt to straighten a bent blade by heating,
or weld a cracked or broken blade as the blade may
break and cause serious injury.
Always check for blade damage if mower strikes a
rock, branch or other foreign object during mowing!
Rotate the blades after installation to ensure blade
tips do not touch each other or sides of the mower.
