NOTE
Before starting the mower, make sure all adjustments have been made and that you
have selected whether you will be using the grass catcher, mulching plug or
side discharge port.
4.0 Place the key into the ignition slot on the switch box.
4.1 Push down the lockout button.
4.2 With the lock out button pushed down, pull back on the trigger switch running along
the top of the upper handle.
4.3 The mower should now be powered.
5.0 Release the trigger switch.
5.1 Let go of the lock out button.
5.2 Wait for the blade to stop rotating.
5.3 The mower should now have stopped.
6.0 Only operate the mower with the grass catcher discharge guard, rear guard and
the other safety devices of the lawn mower are in place and functional.
6.1 Only use accessories approved for use with this particular model of lawn mower.
6.2 DO NOT mow on either wet grass or steep slippery slopes.
6.3 NEVER stand with the mower on a surface that may cause you to lose your footing
such as uneven ground or wet grass.
6.4 Inspect the area to be mown and remove any objects such as sticks, stones or
other items that may damage the mower.
These types of objects are dangerous when thrown from the discharge port, creating
possible injury to the operator or any bystanders.
6.5 Mark all sprinkler heads and other immovable objects hidden within the grass in
order to avoid them during mowing operations.
6.6 When cutting thicker or longer grass, move slower to allow the blades to work at their
own speed.
6.7 DO NOT force the mower through thick grass.
6.8 For best results, never cut more than one third the height of the grass at a time.
Cutting more than a third can cause wear on the mowers motor and blade and
compromises the health of the grass.
