Step 6. Do the Expansion Unit
Check
Do not do this check unless you were told to by
Symptom 9 in the POST Error Chart.
Follow this procedure only if you have an
expansion unit and your screen response was a
blank screen (or it displayed other than the
normal screen) and your audio response was any
response other than one or four beeps.
1. Turn the system unit and expansion unit Off
(0).
2. Disconnect the expansion unit cable at the
system unit end.
3. Turn the system unit On (I) and watch and
listen for the POST responses.
4. Continue with the next question on page 5-26.
If your screen and audio responses were other
than those discussed above, go to the POST
Error Chart on Page 5-11.
