Remote management
The server contains IBM IMM v2 hardware with basic level functionality (IMM2 Basic), which provides
service-processor control, monitoring, and alerting functions. If an environmental condition exceeds a
threshold or if a system component fails, the IMM lights LEDs to help you diagnose the problem, records
the error in the event log, and alerts you to the problem.
The IMM2 Basic provides remote server management through industry-standard interfaces:
Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) Version 2.0
Common Information Model (CIM)
Integrated virtualization
The x3250 M4 currently does not support VMware ESXi embedded virtualization.
