4.9 TROUBLESHOOTING ______________________________________________________

Engines does not start Choke in wrong position See Engine Manual
Empty fuel tank or dirty fuel Drain and refill with fresh, clean fuel
Fuel shut-off valve Open valve
Engine / Spark Plug See Engine Manual
Engine switch off Turn on switch
Engine hard to start or runs erratically, Choke in wrong position See Engine Manual
stalls, looses power or stops Fuel leaks, dirty or incorrect fuel Tighten fuel hose clamps
Refill with proper grade, clean fuel
Loose wiring Check spark plug wire
Air intake plugged Clean air-intake and air cleaner
Vent in fuel cap plugged Clean fuel cap
Mower does not react to O.P.C. lever Parking brake engaged Disengage brake
Reel clutch Adjust, see (Section 3.7)
Reels do not cut, cut unevenly Misadjusted Adjust, see (Section 3.2, Section 3.3
and Section 3.5)
