Adjustment Procedure
Results of Improper Adjustment
Checking items:

Throat plate
* Set the micro lifter dial to the upper marker line. Conrm that the
clearance between throat plate

and the presser foot is 2.5 mm or
more (A).
How to perform adjustment:
○
Turn the dial (B) of the micro lifting mechanism to adjust the height of
the presser foot to 2.5 mm.
○
Loosen the nut (C). Turn seat (D) to adjust it to the position (E) where
its upper end is aligned with the upper marker line.
○
Tighten the nut (C). Turn the dial (B) to adjust so that its lower end
is aligned with the lower marker line. Check to make sure that the
presser foot comes in contact with the throat plate.
○
After the adjustment, check to make sure that that the amount of
oating of the thread tension controller disk falls within the adjustment
range referring to "25. Adjusting the oating of the disk of the thread
tension controller".
