The heads, capstan, pinch roller and parts which
come into contact with the tape must be kept free
from dust and dirt. If dust and dirt are allowed to
accumulate, the quality of sound will deteriorate
and tape speed will become irregular.
Cleaning these parts is essential.
1. Press the EJECT button to open the cassette
door.
2. Press the PLAY button. Now the head and
pinch roller will be accessible. Clean these with
the head cleaning stick provided soaked in a
little alcohol.
3. After completing the cleaning, press the STOP
button.
Las cabezas, el cabestrante, el punzon y las partes que
entran en contacto con la cinta deben mantenerse sin polvo
y sin suciedad. Si es permitido que el polvo se acumule, la
calidad del sonido se deteriorara y la velocidad de la cinta
se volvera irregular.
La limpieza de estas partes es escencial.
1. Presione el boton expulsion (EJECT) para abrir la
puerta del porta cassette.
2. Presione el boton para tocar (PLAY). Ahora la cabeza
y el punzon estan accesibles. Limpielos con el palillo
limpiador para cabezas humedecido en un poco de
alcohol.
3. Despues de completar la limpieza, presione el boton
deparo (STOP).
Cautions:
1. Keep magnets and metallic objects away from
the head.
If the head becomes magnetized, noise will
increase and the tone will deteriorate.
If noise seems to have increased, demagnetize
the heads with a head demagnetizer available on
the market.
2. Do not use anything for cleaning except alcohol.
If thinner or benzine were to be used, the
rubber of the pinch roller would be damaged.
3. Do not touch the surfaces of the heads and
pinch roller with your fingers.
Precauciones:
1. Guarde los magnetos y objetos metalicos lejos de la
cabeza.
Si la cabeza se magnetfza, el ruido aumentara y el tono
se deteriorara.
Si el ruido parece haber aumentado, desmagnetizar los
cabezales con un desmagnetizador de cabezales disponi-
ble comercialmente.
2. No utilize nada aparte de alcohol para limpiar.
Si se empleara tiner o benzina, se danan'a la goma del
punzon.
3. No toque las superficies de las cabezas y el punzon con
sus dedos.
