Mechanism [B]: Refer to the description about REC/PB
mechanism.
® Head ass’y
Remove two screws @ retaining the head ass’y.
For removing the head only, remove two screws securing
it from the head gap side. (To do the work easily, heat
the bonded parts beforehand.)
e Re-assembling
1. Set the head lever to be positioned as shown in the
figure.
2. Arrange head wires and apply locking bond.
In case of Mechanism /A|
Loosen a screw on the left side of the PB head and
remove a screw on the right side.
For a dummy head, remove a screw securing it.
@ Pinch roller ass’y
Push a pawl catching the pinch roller ass’y on the chassis
in the direction of the arrow mark (see figure) to remove
it.
@ Flywheel bracket (FM bracket)
Remove two screws @) securing the flywheel bracket,
from the both sides.
When the FM bracket is removed, the main belt is dis-
engaged at the same time.
The capstan motor and flywheel ass’y can be replaced by
this procedure.
®@ Disk base unit
Remove three screws @), @ and ®© securing the disk
base unit,
