To check the blade balance (Fig. 16b):
Clamp a nail or a screwdriver with a round shank in the horizontal position. Position the blade
so that the nail or round shank of the screwdriver supports the blade through its center hole.
Balance the blade horizontally. If either end of the blade rotates downward, remove some
metal from the heavier (or lower) end until the blade is balanced. It is balanced when neither
end drops.
WARNING
• An unbalanced blade will cause excessive vibration when rotating at high speeds. It may
cause damage to the mower and could break, causing personal injury.
17. Replacing the Wheels
WARNING
• Always remove the battery pack when servicing
or transporting the mower. We recommend
having this task carried out by an after-sales
service provider.
To remove the wheels:
a. Turn the mower on its side with the upper
surface against a wall.
b. Use a at blade screwdriver to pry the dust
cover away from the wheel.
c. Use an adjustable or ½-inch (13mm) wrench
to turn the bolt counterclockwise to loosen it.
d. For front wheels: remove the bolt, the worn
wheel, the wave washer, and at washer from
the wheel axle (Fig. 17a).
e. For rear wheels: remove the bolt, the worn
wheel, the wave washer from the wheel axle
(Fig. 17b).
To mount the wheels:
a. For front wheels: mount the at washer, the
wave washer and the new wheel on the wheel
axle. Note that the round recess of the wheel
must face outward (Fig. 17a).
b. For rear wheels: mount the wave washer
and the new wheel on the wheel axle. Note
that the round recess of the wheel must face
outward (Fig. 17b).
c. Secure the wheel with the bolt by tightening the bolt clockwise.
d. Mount the dust cover onto the wheel and press it into place.
