SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including
the following :
Read all instructions prior to first use.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse
cord, plugs or machine in water or other liquid.
Not intented for use by children.
Close supervision is necessary when any machine is used near children. Keep
machine out of reach of children.
This appliance is not designed to be used by people (including children) with
a physical, sensory or mental impairment, or people without knowledge or
experience, unless they are supervised or given prior instructions concerning
the use of the appliance by someone responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Burns can occur from touching a hot plate, hot water or steam.
Exercise caution when using the steam nozzle as steam can cause scalding.
Unplug machine from outlet when not in use and when cleaning. Allow to cool
before putting on or taking off parts, before cleaning the machine, and before
storing.
All machines are subject to stringent quality control. Practical tests using
machines taken at random are conducted and this may explain any slight marks
or coffee residue prior to use.
Do not operate any machine with a damaged cord or plug or after the machine
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return machine to the
nearest Krups Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment or your
respective countries Consumer Service Department.
To reduce the risk of injury do not drape cord over the counter top or table top
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Krups may result in
fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
To disconnect the machine, turn the control to “off” then remove plug from wall
outlet. Do not yank cord, instead grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
Do not use the machine for other than intended use.
Do not pour liquids other than water and descaling solutions specified in this
manual into the water tank.
Protect the machine against humidity and freezing.
PROBLEMAS POSIBLES CAUSAS SOLUCIONES
La boquilla no funciona o
produce poca espuma.
La boquilla de espuma no está
instalada correctamente.
Comprueba que el accesorio está
montado correctamente en el
aparato: retíralo y vuelve a instalarlo
en el brazo articulado con un
movimiento firme hacia arriba.
La leche no está fresca ni
demasiado caliente.
Utiliza leche fresca,
pasteurizada o UHT que se
haya abierto recientemente.
La boquilla de vapor tiene un
exceso de cal.
Descalcifica la boquilla de
vapor siguiendo el apartado
sobre DESCALCIFICACIÓN.
La forma del recipiente no es
adecuada.
Sigue las instrucciones para
preparar espuma de leche
(apartado sobre la FUNCIÓN
DE VAPOR)
La luz blanca y la luz naranja
del botón de espresso para
1 taza parpadean de forma
intermitente y la luz blanca del
botón de espresso para 2 tazas
se mantiene encendida.
Es necesario descalcificar la
cafetera.
Descalcifica el aparato
(consulta la sección:
DESCALCIFICACIÓN)
La luz blanca del botón está
encendida, la luz naranja de los
2 botones de espresso
parpadean a la vez.
Falta agua en el depósito o
la trayectoria del agua no es
directa o el medidor de flujo
está roto.
Vierte agua en el depósito de
agua. Si el problema continúa,
consulta al servicio técnico
oficial.
La luz blanca del botón
permanece encendida, la luz
naranja de los 2 botones de
espresso parpadea de forma
intermitente.
La temperatura del depósito
es demasiado alta o
demasiado baja, o el sensor de
temperatura está roto.
Apaga la máquina durante
un tiempo y luego vuelve a
encenderla. Si el problema
continúa, consulta al servicio
técnico oficial.
La luz blanca del botón
permanece encendida, la luz
naranja del botón de vapor
parpadea.
La máquina se está calentando
o está precalentando el vapor,
pero el botón rueda no está en
posición de precalentamiento.
Vuelve a colocar el botón
rueda en la posición de
precalentamiento.
Sigue calentando el agua
pasados 60segundos.
Gira el botón rueda de
nuevo a la posición de
precalentamiento. El aparato
puede volver a calentar agua.
Sigue emitiendo vapor pasados
60segundos.
Gira el botón rueda a la
posición de precalentamiento.
El aparato puede volver a
producir vapor.
Si no es posible determinar la causa de la avería, consulta al servicio técnico oficial.
No desmontes nunca el aparato. (Si el aparato se desmonta, la garantía quedará anulada).
