Clogged Drain Air Gap or
In-Sink Disposal
Check the drain air gap or in-sink disposal if the
dishwasher is not draining well.
Cleaning the Air Gap
1
Turn off the dishwasher.
2
Remove the air gap cover and the plastic cap
underneath it.
3
Clean out any debris with a toothpick or brush.
4
Replace the plastic cap and air gap cover.
NOTE
The drain air gap and disposal are external
plumbing devices that are not part of the
dishwasher.
The warranty provided with the dishwasher does
not cover service costs directly associated with the
cleaning or repair of the external drain air gap and
disposal.
