STEP 4.
Place a new bucket or other implement which will be
used in new job on a soft ground beside the bucket to
be removed.
Always change the bucket on a smooth and soft level
ground like a soil ground. Following below steps will
be helpful for changing bucket.
Bucket Teeth Changing
The bucket teeth are secured with bolts and nuts on
the bucket edge. The teeth will eventually need to be
replaced after a lot of works even though they are
heat-treated. The digging force weakens as the teeth
wear out.
Remove the worn teeth and install new teeth, if the
teeth are worn.
Install a new bucket or other implement as the type of
job to be accomplished.
Note :
Make sure to use brass drift and hammer
when removing hinge pins. Failure to do so could
result in injury from flying metal fragments.
Backhoe Bucket Changing
As the work to be performed changes, it is necessary
to change the backhoe bucket. This is a common
occurance in most of using backhoe.
Remove secured hardware and hinge pins as shown
in below.
Position the bucket to be removed naturally just on
the ground.
