v) Beforeloweringthebathlift,extendyourfeetoutinfrontofyouandkeephandsabovetheseat
toavoidanyriskofentrapment.
vi) Toloweryourselftothebottomofthetub,presstheDOWNbuttononthehandcontrol
(see g 7).Whenthebuttonisreleased,thebathliftwillstopandremainatthatpositionuntil
the button is pressed again.
vii) Whenyouhavereachedthebottomofthetub,thebathliftwillautomaticallystop.
viii)Whilebathing,youmayusethesuctioncupsonthebatterytoattachthehandcontrol
and battery to the edge of the tub or to a tiled wall. If the hand control and battery fall into
the water, there is NO danger as both are waterproof. Ensure you wipe the battery dry
before charging.
ix) Whenyouhavenishedbathing,retrievethebatteryandhandcontrolfromwhereyouhave
storeditbypullingthetagsonthesuctioncups.PresstheUPbuttontoraisethebathlift.When
thebuttonisreleased,thebathliftwillstopandremainatthatpositionuntilthebuttonis
pressed again.
x) Oncethesideapsarelevelwiththetopofthetub,removeyourngerfromtheUPbuttonand
movesidewaysontothesideap,ensuringonceagainthatnopartofthebodycanbecome
trapped as you do so.
xi) Turnwhileliftingeachlegoutofthetub.
xii)Drainthetub.
NOTE:
• IftheREDlightappearsonthehandcontrolwhilelowering,thebathliftwillnotgodownany
further.Ifthishappens,presstheUPbuttonandthebathliftwillraiseyoutothetopofthetub.
Charge the battery immediately.
•Intheeventofanemergency,slidingthebatteryoutofthehandcontrolcaninstantly
terminateallbathliftmovement.
• Whenthebathliftreachesitsmaximumlimitoftravel(upordown),therewillbeashortdelay
before it will operate again.
•Thebathliftisnotdesignedforcontinuousoperation.Allowatleast15minutesbetweenbaths.
•DoNOTallowtheactuatorbehindthebackresttobeplacedunderaconstantowofwater
(e.g.runningfaucet)andensureitisnottotallysubmergedinwater.
