REFRIGERATION DIAGNOSTICS
Important:
• DO NOT install a manifold gauge set on the ice
machine! Refrigerant pressures are not used to
diagnose this ice machine.
• If the ice machine is “slushing” remove the screen
from the bottom of the water pump.
• Normal Ice Fill Pattern is less fill on the left side of
the evaporator. This occurs because the
refrigeration tubing exits the evaporator on the left
side.
Evaporator Tubing Routing
Procedure
1. Remove siphon cap from siphon tube and verify
that the water level is between 1/4 and 3/8 inch
(6.4 – 9.5 mm) from the top of the standpipe, a
line in the water trough indicates the correct level.
2. Verify that the incoming water pressure is more
than 20 psi and less than 80 psi.
