Consequently it is very important to check
and regulate air output when any modi
cation is made to air heads or air ducts. In
all circumstances you must ensure that:
The fan motor does not absorb more
current than the maximum permitted limit;
The volume of air ow corresponds to
the recommended level.
WARNING: Only attach ducts
with allowable constant working
temperature of at least 150ºC (al-
lowable temporary working temp.
at least 180ºC) within the rst 2
meters away from the heater, and
85ºC further away on the entire
length of the circuit.
WARNING: After connecting
distribution ducts, please consi-
der their proper arrangement. To
minimize air ow obstruction and
device load, arrange the air distri
-
bution ducts so that the number
of bends is minimized and limit
the duct bending angle to at least
90° at all times. Moreover, the ini-
tial 2 meters of the duct should
be without bends (Fig. 4).
CONNECTION TO FLUE (Fig. 5, 6, 7)
Thermal efciency and proper functioning
are directly related to correct draft in the
chimney.
Make sure distance between heater
and chimney is as short as possible, do
not create ciosed angles or chimney sec
-
tion reductions.
If the heater is not connected to an out-
side chimney, it must be equipped with a
vertical steel ue and a draft regulator.
►►4. RUNNING THE HEATER
TO START THE HEATER
Set switch (2 Fig. 1) on position “O”,
connect heater to mains (see model plate
for electrical specications).
If the heater is to be run under manual
control, set switch (2 Fig. 1) on position
. The burner will start and after a short
time of combustion chamber preheating
the main ventilator will start.
If the heater is to be run under automa-
tic control, set desired value on selected
control, set switch (2 Fig. 1) on position
. The heater will now start and stop au-
tomatically.
If after these operations the heater
does not run properly, revert to chapter
“OBSERVED FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAU
-
SE REMEDIES” and nd out reason of
malfunction.
TO STOP HEATER
In manual mode, set switch (2 Fig. 1)
on position “O” or turn off control in auto-
matic mode.
Burner will stop and main ventilator will
stop later when combustion chamber has
cooled off.
WARNING: Never pull plug to
stop heater. Never pull plug befo-
re heater has stopped by it self.
VENTILATION
To run your heater as a ventilator only, set
switch (2 Fig. 1) on position
.
►►5. MAINTENANCE
Troublefree running of your heater requi-
res regular maintenance. Unplug heater
before doing any maintenance work.
CLEANING OF COMBUSTION CHAM-
BER AND EXCHANGER
This operation must take place at least
once a year when the heating season is
over. Excessive sooting is mainly due to
incorrect ue, incorrect burner setting or
bad quality fuel. Excessive sooting can be
diagnosed if heater has rough starts. Ac-
cess to exchanger is made via two access
