1. PREFACE AND INTRODUCTION
Please carefully read this owner’s manual before using the vehicle. Improper use of the vehicle could
result in harm, injury or traffic accidents. Therefore to get the most from the vehicle read this owner’s
manual.
• This owner’s manual includes operating instructions for every aspect of the vehicle, assembly
instructions, as well as instructions on how to deal with possible incidents.
• The symbols used in this manual are explained below. Pay particular attention the notes marked
with the symbols below:

Follow these instructions to keep your vehicle in good working order
• This manual includes a copy of the repair and maintenance record chart and warranty information.
Keep it in a safe place or with the scooter.
• If somebody else uses the scooter, make sure that you provide them with this owner’s manual for
his or her consideration.
• As designs change some illustrations and pictures in the manual may not correspond to the vehicle
that you purchased. We reserve the right to make design modifications.
• There are three scooters in the Monami range. The Monami Standard has a top speed of 4mph and
is a class 2 vehicle as described by the Road Traffic Act 1988. The Monami Vitesse is a class 3
vehicle and gains a 6mph top speed, indicators and rear view mirror. The Monami Vitesse 8 has
an 8mph top speed, additional cable brake, indicators and rear view mirror.

To optimise battery efficiency and longevity, fully recharge your new batteries before first use.
