TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If the clothes dryer does not perform as expected, malfunctions, or an alarm is sounding, please
check the following list of possible solutions.
If a solution cannot be found or the problem persists, please contact Midea service (refer to page 17).
Do not, under any circumstance, dismantle the appliance yourself.
Possible Cause / Solution
Ÿ Display does not light up
Ÿ Plug is not firmly in socket or power not turned on.
Ÿ Fuse may be blown. Check the power point with another
appliance.
Ÿ Check if a programme has been selected.
Ÿ Water container is full, need to be emptied.
Ÿ Check hose for condensation outlet.
Ÿ Clean lint filter.
Ÿ Clean air cooler.
Ÿ Check if the Start button has been pressed.
Ÿ The dryer door is not properly pushed in.
Ÿ Check if a programme has been selected and it is not in
"Pause" mode.
Ÿ Align dryer horizontally.
Ÿ Clean air condenser and door seal.
Ÿ Dryer is opened by itself
Ÿ Check if the dryer is overloaded.
Ÿ Press door until it “clicks” into position.
Ÿ Humidity in the room is increasing
significantly
Ÿ Ventilate room adequately.
Ÿ Clean the cool grille.
Ÿ Ensure that the air condenser has been inserted.
Ÿ Degree of dryness is not reached
or drying time is too long
Ÿ Check if lint filter and air condenser is clean.
Ÿ Check if water container is full.
Ÿ Check water outlet.
Ÿ Dryer installation too restricted.
Ÿ Clean the moisture sensor.
Ÿ Use next higher drying programme or use a Timer programme.
Ÿ Water tank is full, empty the container.
Ÿ Water pump failure or water level sensor failure. Call Midea
Customer Care if the problem persists.
Ÿ Heater failure. Call Midea Customer Care if the problem
persists.
Ÿ Humidity sensor failure. Call Midea Customer Care if the
problem persists.
Ÿ Temperature sensor failure. Call Midea Customer Care if the
problem persists.
