Problem Cause and remedy
The optical in-operation
indicator light is flash-
ing quickly.
The alarm tone is
sounding.
The messageDrain
appears in the display
Before rectifying the problem:
 Switch the dishwasher off.
Water drainage fault.
There might be water in the wash cabinet.
 Clean the filter combination (see “Cleaning and
care” chapter, “Cleaning the filters” section).
 Clean the drain pump (see “Cleaning and care”
chapter, “Cleaning the drain pump” section).
 Remove any kinks or loops in the drain hose.
