This function code is used for initial test of master’s software.
Query framing
slave address ：1～7FH
sub function code ：00H
data ：2 bytes
CRC ：2 bytes
Response framing
data ：same as the data of query
5.5 Modbus Exception Responses
Query framing was incorrect.
No response is returned.
Please retry with master
software.
Modbus ERR. LED is
turned ON (flashing) until
receiving the correct query
in case of no error.
1 byte data length was incorrect.
1 byte data was incorrect.
Framing data were incorrect.
The function code received in the query
was except 03h, 08h and 10h.
The data address received in the query is
not an allowable address for the slave.
The data value received in the query is
not an allowable data for the slave.
Slave is busy on initial state or internal
transmission *1 cable is not connected.
*1 Addresses 02**h (0209h-02B9h) can be monitored even if internal transmission error has occurred.
Response framing
*1 function code : In an exception response, the server sets the MSB of the function code to 1.
