(4) Defrosting operation
(a) Starting conditions (Defrosting operation can be started only when all of the following conditions are met.)
1) 1After start of heating operation → When it elapsed 45 minutes.(Accumulated compressor operation time)
2After end of defrosting operation → When it elapsed 45 minutes.(Accumulated compressor operation time)
3Outdoor unit heat exchanger sensor (Th4) temperature → When the temperature has been below –5°C for 3 minutes
continuously.
4¡The outdoor air temperature
=
>
–17°C
The difference between the outdoor air temperature sensor temperature and the outdoor heat exchanger temperature
sensor temperature is
=
>
7°C.
¡The outdoor air temperature < –17°C
The difference between the outdoor air temperature sensor temperature and the outdoor heat exchanger temperature
sensor temperature is
=
>
–5°C.
5During continuous compressor operation (Defrost operations shall not be performed from 10 minutes after the compressor
begins running.)
2) In addition, when the inverter command speed from the indoor controller of the indoor unit during heating operation has
counted 0 rps 10 times or more and all conditions of 1, 2, 3 and 5 above and when the outdoor air temperature is 3°C
or less are satisfied (note that when the temperature for Th4 is -5°C or less: 30 rps or more, -4°C or less: less than 30 rps),
After running at an inverter command speed of 40rps for 7 minutes, defrost operations will start.
3) 1After start of heating operation → Less than 45 minutes.(Accumulated compressor operation time)
2After end of defrosting operation → Less than 45 minutes.(Accumulated compressor operation time)
3Outdoor unit heat exchanger sensor (Th4) temperature → When the temperature has been below –5°C for 3 minutes
continuously.
4¡The outdoor air temperature
=
>
–17°C
The difference between the outdoor air temperature sensor temperature and the outdoor heat exchanger temperature
sensor temperature is
=
>
20°C.
¡The outdoor air temperature < –17°C
The difference between the outdoor air temperature sensor temperature and the outdoor heat exchanger temperature
sensor temperature is
=
>
15°C.
5During continuous compressor operation (Defrost operations shall not be performed from 10 minutes after the compressor
begins running.)
(c) Hot keep operation
If the hot keep operation is selected during the heating operation, the indoor blower is controlled based on the temperature of
the indoor unit heat exchanger (detected with Th2, indoor unit heat exchanger sensor) to prevent blowing of cool wind.
