• Cleaning method of the fuel filter
1. Open the fuel tank cap, and confirm that no fuel
remains in the fuel tank.
2. Pull out the fuel lter from the opening using a piece of
steel wire, or the like, and wash it with clean kerosene.
(If it is heavily fouled, replace the fuel lter, and clean
the inside of fuel tank.)
3. Replace the fuel filter in the fuel tank, and close the
fuel tank cap.
• Cleaning method of the spark arrester
* Spark arrester may not be used depending on the
specications.
1. Removing the screw, pull out the spark arrester.
2. Clean the clogging on the spark arrestor with a soft
brush, or the like.
3. Insert the spark arrester, and tighten the screw.

When handling the fuel and kerosene, take sufcient care for re. There is
a risk of explosion or re.
CAUTION
Do not store the engine with the fuel left in the tank.
Deteriorated oil could clog the fuel pipes to the carburetor fuel lter, or
other, and cause improper operation of the engine.
When the engine is not used for more than 30 days, store it after servicing as follow in order
to prevent the starting trouble or improper operation caused by degenerated fuel.
1. After draining the fuel from the fuel tank, operate the engine until it stops when the fuel is
used up.
2. Wash the inside of fuel tank and the fuel lter with new kerosene.
3. Removing the spark plug, inject a small quantity of new special oil for 2-cycle engine
through the plug hole. After idling the engine slowly a few times with the recoil starter,
install the spark plug and stop it at the position where a little resistance is felt when the
recoil starter is pulled again.
4. Clean the external surfaces with a piece of soft cloth, and store it at a place where it is free
from moisture and re.
