Accidental severing of underground cables or gas
lines may cause an explosion and/or fire, possibly
resulting in serious injury or death.
Before digging, check the location of cables, gas
lines, and water lines.
Keep the minimum distance required by law from ca-
bles, gas lines, or water lines. If a fiber optic cable
should be accidentally severed, do not look into the
end, to avoid eyes injury.
To solve possible doubts, contact local authorities
and/or the Power companies (Electric Power, Gas,
Telephone, Water, Telecommunications, etc.). Ask
for information about underground utility lines.
MOVEAND OPERATEMACHINESAFELY
Bystanders are in danger of being run over. Confirm
the location of bystanders before moving, slewing,
or operating the machine.
Always keep the travel alarm in good working condi-
tion. (if equipped). It warns people when the ma-
chine starts to move.
Use a signal person when moving, slewing, or oper-
ating the machine in congested areas. Coordinate
hand signals before starting the machine.
BEWAREOFEXHAUSTFUMES
Engine exhaust fumes can cause sickness or death.
If you must operate in closed buildings, be sure there
is adequate ventilation.
Use an extension to eliminate exhaust gases or
open doors and windows to ensure a sufficient air
exchange.
