Battery Inspections/Maintenance
Battery Replacement
Battery and electrical system service must be performed only by an authorized service
facility. When battery replacement is necessary, your authorized GEM dealer can provide
this service.
NOTICE: Always install batteries of the exact type and make originally supplied with the vehicle to
prevent damage to the vehicle’s electrical system.
WARNING! Handling batteries and electrical components improperly can result in serious injury or
death. Do not attempt to remove batteries or battery cables. It is essential, when replacing the cables
on the batteries, that the positive cable is attached to the positive post (+) and the negative cable is
attached to the negative post (-). Battery posts are identified on the battery case as positive (+) and
negative (-). Your authorized GEM dealer can provide battery-related service.
