SPECIAL PROCEDURES
Capsized Watercraft
1. To prevent major engine
damage when the watercraft is
capsized, be sure the engine is
stopped immediately. The
engine will overheat if running
while capsized.
2. Upright the vehicle immediat ely
by turning it in a clockwise
direction (as viewed from rear)
only!
3. Swim to the rear of the vehicle;
board and start it according to
directions. NOTE: Before starting, push bilge pump button to
pump out any water in the hull.
4. If the engine does not start shortly after being uprighted make no
further attempts to start it. Severe engine damage could result.
5. Follow the procedures for submerged (waterlogged) engine.
This watercraft does not right itself if it has been capsized. The
operator and passenger must know how to right the watercraft or
they could become stranded which could result in severe injury or
death.
Severe engine damage could also result from not righting a
capsized watercraft as soon as possible.
