Appendix B Regulatory Approvals
Specifications are applicable only if the safety function is demanded at least
once within six months. All diagnostic tests are conducted at least before next
demand. At mission time (TM), the proof test interval (PTI) is assumed.
Components failure rates are according to SN29500.
SIL Rating
Safety relays meet the requirements in Table 19 in accordance with
IEC/EN 61508 and IEC 62061.
Performance Level/Category
Safety relays can be used in safety systems that meet up to Category 4 and
Performance Level PLe in accordance with ISO 13849-1.
