PowerFlex 753 Drive (P_PF753)
Simulation
Simulation in P_PF753 disables the normal input and lets you operate the
Add-On Instruction as if it were a working drive.
You must set the Inp_Sim parameter in the controller to ‘1’ to enable simulation.
The Simulation icon is displayed at the bottom left of the Operator
faceplate, indicating the device is in simulation.
While in Simulation, you can use the controller to set the following parameters:
• Cfg_SimScaleEU = 0
Cfg_SimScaleRaw = 0:
Copy speed reference value directly to speed feedback.
• Cfg_SimScaleEU = 1
Cfg_SimScaleRaw = 0:
Scale the speed reference from the reference range to the feedback range.
• Cfg_SimScaleEU = *
Cfg_SimScaleRaw = 1:
– Scale the speed reference to raw units.
– Scale the raw speed reference to raw speed feedback units.
– Scale the raw speed feedback to speed feedback engineering units.
You can also use Cfg_SimRampT to ramp the speed feedback (in seconds).
When you have finished in simulation, set the Inp_Sim parameter in the
controller to ‘0’ to return to normal operation.
