Using a Footswitch / Foot Controller
Connecting a Footswitch
(FS-6/FS-7/FS-5L)
If you connect a footswitch (separately sold: BOSS FS-6, FS-7, or
FS-5L), you can use it to switch channels or turn DUAL TONE (p. 6)
on/o. On the Blues Cube Artist, you can additionally use a
footswitch to turn the tremolo eect on/o and to turn the EFX
LOOP on/o with your foot.
* This unit is equipped with a TRS
type jack that is wired as follows.
Stereo 1/4” phone type

* The Blues Cube is compatible with latch-type footswitches (FS-6,
FS-7, FS-5L). If you’re using an FS-6 or FS-7, set the mode of A
and B to FS-5L (LATCH). Momentary-type footswitches (e.g., FS-
5U) cannot be used.
When connected to the TIP: CH SELECT RING: DUAL TONE jack
Switch Explanation
TIP CH SELECT
Switches between the CLEAN channel and the
CRUNCH channel.
RING DUAL TONE Switches DUAL TONE (p. 6) on/o.
When connected to the TIP: TREMOLO RING: EFX LOOP jack
Artist only
Switch Explanation
TIP TREMOLO Turns the tremolo eect on/o.
RING EFX LOOP Turns the EFX LOOP on/o.
When connected to the TIP: TREMOLO RING: EFX LOOP jack
Tour only
Switch Explanation
TIP EFX LOOP A Turns the EFX LOOP A on/o.
RING EFX LOOP B Turns the EFX LOOP B on/o.
Connecting a GA Foot Controller
(sold separately: GA-FC)
Artist/Tour only
You can connect the separately sold Roland GA-FC to switch
channels and turn eects on/o.
Connecting the GA-FC
Connect a stereo cable to the FOOT SWITCH GA-FC jack.
* Always use a stereo cable.
* Use cables that do not contain resistors.
GA-FC
Using the GA-FC
You can use the GA-FC to switch between CLEAN, CRUNCH, and
DUAL TONE. You can also switch TREMOLO and EFX LOOP on/o.
Ax the included adhesive labels to the GA-FC.
Blues Cube Artist
Switch Explanation
CLEAN Switches to the CLEAN channel.
CRUNCH Switches to the CRUNCH channel.
DUAL TONE Turns the DUAL TONE. on.
CLEAN-BOOST Turns the CLEAN channel’s BOOST on/o on.
CRUNCH-BOOST Turns the CRUNCH channel’s BOOST on/o on.
FUNCTION " TREMOLO
Turns the TREMOLO on/o.
FUNCTION " EFX LOOP
Turns the EFX LOOP on/o.

Species the rate of the tremolo eect (TAP).
