2. Playing your own music
2.2 Adding Reverb
The HP-137 allows you to add reverberation to what
you play on the keyboard. The Reverb effect provides
a pleasant reverberation that gives the impression that
you are performing in a concert hall or similar space.
2.1 Selecting sounds
The HP-137 allows you to play using four different
sounds including piano. The HP-137's sounds are
called “Tones”.
Use the three keys to the far left to select another
sound than the stereo piano sound that is selected
when you switch on the HP-137.
1. Press and hold the volume button.

2. While still holding the volume button, press one of
the keys labeled “Tone” to select the corresponding
sound.
E. Piano: electric piano sound
Harpsichord: harpsichord sound
Pipe Organ: pipe organ sound
3. To return to the stereo piano sound after selecting
one of the above, hold down the volume button while
press the key of the last Tone you selected.
Switching the Reverb effect off (and on)
At power-on, the Reverb effect is already switched on.
If you do not need this effect, you need to switch it
off:
1. Press and hold the volume button.
2. While still holding the volume button, press the
G#3 key.

Note: Refer to “Functions assigned to the keyboard” on
page 16 for the exact location of the keys you need to press.
3. Repeat the above to switch the Reverb back on
again.
Note: The Reverb will also be activated next time you
power up the HP-137.
