■ For storage, always disconnect from power
supply and wind cable.
PREPARATION
■ Always wear protective non-slip footwear
and long trousers.
■ Before use, check that there are no
damaged parts. A defective switch or any
part that is damaged should be properly
repaired or replaced by an authorized
service facility.
■ Consider the environment in which you are
working. Keep the working area free from
wires, sticks, stones and debris.
■ Make sure the trimmer head is properly
installed and securely fastened.
■ Make sure all guards, deflectors and
handles are properly and securely attached.
OPERATION
■ Beware, the cutting elements continue to
rotate after the motor is switched off.
■ Keep extension cords away from the
cutting elements.
■ Avoid using machine in bad weather,
especially if there is risk of lightning.
■ Use the product in daylight or good artificial
light.
■ Avoid using on wet grass.
■ Keep proper footing and balance at all
times.
■ Do not walk backwards when trimming.
■ Walk, never run.
■ Keep the trimmer head below waist level.
■ Do not cut on surfaces other than grass on
ground.
■ Never operate the product with damaged
guards or without guards in place.
■ Never fit a metal replacement line.
■ Keep hands and feet away from the cutting
means at all times and especially when
switching on the product.
■ Never pick up or carry the product by the
electric cable.
■ Beware of objects thrown by the cutting
line.
■ Switch off and disconnect from the power
supply before:
– servicing
– leaving the product unattended
– cleaning the product
– changing accessories
– checking for any damage after hitting an
object
– checking for any damage if the product
starts to vibrate abnormally
– performing maintenance
■ Wear protective glasses or goggles.
■ Take care against injury from any device
fitted for trimming the filament line length.
■ Disconnect the machine from the mains
before checking, cleaning or working on
the machine and when it is not in use.
■ Always ensure that ventilation openings
are kept clear of debris.
■ The small blade fitted to the lawn guard
is designed to trim the new extended line
to the correct length for safe and optimum
performance. It is very sharp, do not touch
it particularly when cleaning the tool.
■ Keep firm footing and balance. Do not
overreach. Overreaching can result in loss
of balance. Always be sure of the footing
on slopes and walk, never run.
WARNING
Injuries may be caused, or aggravated, by
prolonged use of a tool. When using any
tool for prolonged periods, ensure you take
regular breaks.

Inspection after dropping or other impacts:
Thoroughly inspect the product and identify
any affections or damage with it. Any part
that is damaged should be properly repaired
or replaced by an authorised service centre.
