13. Troubleshooting
The table below contains a list of fault symptoms and explains what you can do to remedy the problem if your equip-
ment fails to work properly. If the problem still persists after working through the list, please contact your nearest ser-
vice workshop.
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Machine does not
start.
• Air lter is contaminated.
• Fuel lter is blocked.
• Lack of fuel supply.
• Fault in the fuel line.
• Starting device is faulty.
• Engine stalled.
• Spark plug cap not attached.
• No spark.
• Engine faulty.
• Carburetor faulty
• Clean/replace the air lter.
• Clean or renew the fuel lter.
• Re-fuel.
• Check the fuel line for kinks or damage.
• Contact the service centre.
• Remove the spark plug, clean and dry it; then
pull the starter rope several times; rex the
spark plug.
• Check the correct position of the spark plug
cap.

Grass trimmer does
not work at full power.

• Machine is overloaded because the
grass is too high.
• Feed more cutting line through or replace it.
• Cut the grass in phases.
Cutting line cannot be
fed through.
• Spool empty. • Replace spool.
Pole saw does not

• Chain tension too high.
