Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Solution
e No power
Check if you pressed POWER on the remote control unit.
(See page 19.) If the indicator on the TV is still red,
press POWER on the TV.
Is the AC cord disconnected? (See page 8.)
Has the power been turned on? (See page 19.)
e Unit cannot be
operated.
External influences such as lightning, static electricity, may
cause improper operation. In this case, operate the unit after
First turning off the power of the TV or unplugging the AC cord
and re-plugging it after 1 or 2 minutes.
e Remote control unit
does not operate.
Are batteries inserted with polarity ( + , — ) aligned?

Are batteries worn out? (Replace with new batteries.)
Are you using it under strong or fluorescent lighting?
Is a fluorescent light illuminated near the remote control
sensor?
e Picture is cut off/with
sidebar screen.
Are screen mode adjustments such as picture size made

e Strange color,
light color, or color
misalignment
Adjust the picture tone. (See page 26.)
Is the room too bright? The picture may look dark in a room
that is too bright.
e Power is suddenly
turned off.

e The unit’s internal temperature has increased. Remove any
objects blocking vent.
e No picture
e No sound
Is connection to other components correct? (See page 14.)
Is the correct input selected? (See page 14 or 22.)
Is the volume too low? (See page 23.)
Have you pressed MUTE on the remote control unit?
(See page 23.)
e The TV sometimes
makes a cracking
sound.
This is not a malfunction. This happens when the cabinet
slightly expands and contracts according to change in
temperature. This does not affect the TV's performance.
The Master Password
If you forgot the password number, reset the secret number by following the procedures below:
1. Press MENU to display the MENU screen, and then press 4 /> select “Lock’and then press ENTER
to enter it.
2. Press the master password “ 8899”.
e As a precautionary measure, make a note of your secret number and keep it in a safe place.
