Setting the water softening sys-
tem

Adding special salt
To avoid damage to the appliance, only add special
salt to the dispenser for special salt just before the
programme starts.
1.
Unscrew the lid of the dispenser for special salt
and remove.
2.
On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser right up with
water.
3.
Add the special salt to the
dispenser. The water in the
dispenser is displaced and
forced out. Never add de-
tergent.
4.
Place the lid back on the dispenser and turn to
close.
Adding rinse aid
1.
Press the catch on the lid
of the dispenser for rinse
aid and lift ⁠.

How to use your appliance
1.
Load the tableware.
Only clean tableware that is suitable for dish-
washers. Remove large remnants of food from
the tableware. Check that the spray arms can ro-
tate freely.
2.
Add detergent.
3.
Switch on the appliance ⁠.
4.
Select the programme.
5.
Start the programme ⁠.
6.
Remove the tableware at the end of the pro-
gramme.
7.
To cancel the programme, press for
approx. 4seconds.
The programme is cancelled and ends after ap-
prox. 1minute.

The consumption figures depend on
the programme and additional func-
tion selected.
The runtime will change if the rinse
aid system is switched off or rinse aid
needs to be added.

Usage Features

Initial Setup:

Before first use, the dishwasher requires a few setup steps. Users need to install the Home Connect app on their mobile device and connect it to the appliance by scanning a QR code. This enables remote control and access to various settings. The water softening system must be configured according to the local water hardness. This involves checking the water hardness settings table provided in the manual, selecting the appropriate setting (H00-H07) on the appliance, and saving it.

Adding Special Salt:

To prevent damage from limescale, special salt must be added to the dispenser before the programme starts. The lid of the dispenser should be unscrewed, and for initial start-up, the dispenser should be filled with water first. Then, special salt is added until the dispenser is full, displacing the water. It is crucial not to add detergent to the special salt dispenser. After filling, the lid must be placed back and turned to close securely.

Adding Rinse Aid:

Rinse aid is essential for achieving streak-free drying results. To add rinse aid, the catch on the lid of the dispenser needs to be pressed and lifted. Rinse aid is then poured up to the maximum mark. After filling, the lid is closed until it clicks into position. The amount of rinse aid dispensed can be adjusted in the settings if streaks or water spots are observed.

Adding Detergent:

Detergent, whether powder or tablet, is added to the dry detergent dispenser. After placing the detergent, the lid of the dispenser is closed until it clicks into position.

Cleaning Filters:

The filter system should be checked for residue after each wash.

1. The coarse filter is turned anticlockwise and removed along with the filter system.
2. The micro filter is pulled down to remove it.
3. The locking catches on the coarse filter are pressed together, and the coarse filter is lifted out.
4. All filter elements are cleaned under running water.
5. The filter system is re-assembled and inserted back into the appliance, turning the coarse filter clockwise until the arrow markings match up.

Cleaning Spray Arms:

The spray arms should be cleaned regularly to ensure proper water distribution.

1. The upper spray arm is unscrewed and pulled down to remove.
2. The lower spray arm is pulled up to remove.
3. The outlet nozzles on both spray arms are checked for blockages and any foreign bodies are removed under running water.
4. The lower spray arm is re-inserted until it clicks into position.
5. The upper spray arm is re-inserted and screwed firmly into place.

Cleaning Wastewater Pump:

If the wastewater pump is blocked, it needs to be cleaned.

1. The appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
2. The filter system is removed.
3. Any standing water is scooped out.
4. The pump cover is pried off using a spoon and gripped by the crosspiece.
5. The pump cover is lifted inwards at an angle and removed.
6. Any food remnants and foreign bodies are removed from the impeller area.
7. The pump cover is re-inserted and pressed down until it clicks into position.
8. The filter system is re-installed.

• Appliance Malfunctions: If all LEDs light up or flash, or the programme does not run, it indicates an electronic fault. The solution is to reset the appliance by pressing the main switch button for approximately 4 seconds.
