Gearbox wheel
Have worn wheel replaced by your
STIHL dealer.
The wheel helps protect the
gearbox from wear. If the gearbox
wheel is worn, also check the wear
indicator and the gearbox for signs
of damage (see chapter “Checking
and Replacing the Wear Indicator”).
Removing the skirt
: Loosen the screw (1) on the
clamp (2) and slide the clamp back
along the drive tube in the direction
of the engine.
: Release screws (3) on arm (4) and
remove together with arm.
: Pull end (5) of skirt out from under
the lip on the deflector.
: Pull the skirt upward until the
slot (6) is visible.
