Maintenance and service

& Replacing the air cleaner
element

Replace the air cleaner element accord-
ing to the maintenance schedule in the
“Warranty and Maintenance Booklet”.
Under extremely dusty conditions, re-
place it more frequently. It is recom-
mended that you always use genuine
STI parts.
NOTE
It may be difficult to replace the air
cleaner element. Have the air cleaner
element replaced by your SUBARU
dealer if necessary.
& Types of tires
You should be familiar with type of tires
present on your vehicle.
! Summer tires
WARNING
Never use summer tires when the
temperature is below −48F (−208C)
to prevent permanent tread defor-
mation which may cause tire da-
mage or tire failure. This may cause
a loss of vehicle control which can
result in serious personal injury or
death.
NOTE
For details about other supplementary
information regarding the types of
tires, refer to the vehicle Owner’s
Manual.
